Fragments of the Kitab Al-Azif

This Kitab Al-Azif, or 'Necronomicon' as it's sometimes refered to, is thought to be one of the original tomes created by a man known as Abdul Alhazred.

Book Cover

The cover is composed of a wooden backing with a human face stretched and sewn over the wood. Age has caused this material to blacken and it is very brittle. Many leaves were lost during the recovery.

Fragments (Part1) Fragments (Part 2)

The skin was specially prepared prior to being used as leaves for the tome. The exact process has not yet been determined. It is calculated that the skin of one average human male, of the time period, could produce about 13 leaves. The complete Necronomicon is rumored to have over 300 pages.
